Drury University will host the 4th annual Walk the Lane in Her Shoes Event Tuesday night. KSMU’s Melanie Foehrweiser has more.
For the Walk the Lane event, male students from Drury will put on high heels and pink flip flops and strut their stuff down Drury Lane. The event is part of Drury’s Sexual Assault Awareness Week. Other activities for the week include self-defense classes, speakers, and the launch of “Where Do you Stand”-that’s a bystander intervention campaign that teaches students how to be proactive in helping others. Walk the Lane is sponsored by Drury fraternities and all male Drury students are invited to take part.
