Branson Fire Department Receives Donation to Help with Water Rescues

Branson Fire Department

The recent flooding in Missouri showed the need for water rescuers to be able to respond at a moment’s notice and with the right equipment.

The Branson Fire Department is better prepared now.  They recently got Swift Water Rescue Suits thanks to a donation from local physician Dr. Joy Watson and the Lazarus Foundation.

The $1000 donation was used to purchase the suits, which will help keep fire rescue personnel dry during flood-related emergencies.

According to the department, the suits will allow them to better respond to these types of emergencies at a higher level of service.

A donation by Watson last year allowed the Branson Fire Department to purchase a SKEDCO Rescue Tripod.
