List of Upcoming Fundraisers, Concert Ticket Availability to Benefit Injured Officer

Springfield Police Department

Details of events to benefit the Springfield Police officer shot in the line of duty are continuing to come to light.

30-year-old Aaron Pearson’s medical expenses and salary are currently covered by the city’s worker’s compensation plan. But the 3-year officer of the Springfield Police Department suffered career-ending injuries and has a long road of rehabilitation ahead of him.

A live music concert and benefit for Pearson will be held tomorrow night (2/12) at 6 at Cartoons Oyster Bar & Grill, 1614 S. Glenstone, featuring The Ditchwater Blues Band, Out of Eden, The Dirty Saints and SteamPunk Revolution.  Donations will be accepted.

On February 17th at noon Hoover Music will host a fundraiser to benefit Pearson.  For a donation of $5 or more, you can have your electric or acoustic guitar re-strung with D'Addario Strings.

Additionally, tickets are now on sale for the Feb. 27th Prayin' & Prayin' for 1641 benefit concert at the Gillioz Theatre. 1641 is Officer Pearson's badge number.

The concert starts at 8 p.m. and the lineup includes Dallas Jones and Molly Healey; Steve Smith and the Sneakers; and The Hurricanes, featuring Jody Bilyeu, Barak Hill, Brandon Moore and Dallas Jones.

John Dillon, Steve Cash and other members of the Ozark Mountain Daredevils will be sitting in for a few songs throughout the evening to show their support for the Pearson family.

All seats are reserved at $20 each. Visit the Gillioz Theatre at the link below to purchase tickets online, or call 417-863-9491. All profits from this event will benefit Officer Pearson and his family.

Pearson was shot January 26th while responding to a report of suspicious activity at Glenstone and Chestnut Expressway. Pearson is married with two young children.
