Welcome to the ’60s—where the hair is high and the stakes are even higher!
Winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, Hairspray is a vibrant, feel-good celebration of individuality, love, and standing up for what’s right—set to an irresistible soundtrack of 1960s-style pop and soul.
It’s 1962 in Baltimore, and plus-size teen Tracy Turnblad dreams of dancing on The Corny Collins Show. When she finally makes it on air, Tracy becomes an overnight sensation—and uses her new fame to fight for integration, challenge the status quo, and bring people together through rhythm and rebellion.
Big hair, big dreams, and even bigger heart—Hairspray is a joyous musical comedy that will have you dancing in your seat.

It is one of the most famous pieces of classical music and one of the most mysterious. Other composers filled in the rest and composed additional movements.

Springfield Little Theatre Education Department will present Lady Saturday's Creepy Cabaret October 28-30. Join the vampy vixen herself, Lady Saturday, for an evening where moonlight meets footlights and every number is fun enough to wake the dead!
This gleefully ghoulish variety show mashes wicked wit, haunted harmonies, and vintage vaudeville into one deliciously dark night out. Expect razor-sharp banter from balcony curmudgeons Rattler & Mouldorf, spectral showpieces from The EEK Sisters, and Manny Festation’s “booo-casting” of tongue-in-cheek sponsor spots. The mausoleum will come alive with crooners, cat-eyed Boo-lesque Dancers, and a Grave Manager who … well, let’s just say she’s having a rough afterlife.
It’s a little bit concert, a little bit creep-show, and a whole lot of monster mayhem—perfect for anyone who likes their laughs with a little bite.
PLEASE NOTE: This production may possibly feature theatrical fog, sudden loud noises, mild jump-scares, performers in the aisles, and playful audience interaction—plus the probable appearance of vampires, werewolves, vengeful revenants, and other things that go bump (and sing) in the night. Fun!
