United Community Change will celebrate Juneteenth at Jordan Valley Ice Park on June 22. This all-day event aims to honor the historical significance of Juneteenth while promoting unity and cultural diversity and freedom within the community.

Juneteenth, celebrated annually on June 19, commemorates the emancipation of the last remaining enslaved African Americans in the United States in 1865. This day serves as a powerful reminder of freedom, resilience, and the ongoing journey toward equality.

The celebration will feature a diverse array of activities, including:

- Keynote Speeches from community leaders such as Mike Hamra , Kaijuanda Suton, Roger Franklin , Mia Jones and activists who will share their insights on the importance of Juneteenth.

- Cultural Performances including music, dance, and artistic expressions from various cultural groups.

- Local Vendors and Food Trucks offering a variety of cuisines and goods.
