Take a break from the heat and help end hunger at Springfield-Greene County Park Board swimming pools this summer. From May 26 to September 1, between 5:30 and 6:30 pm daily, admission to all outdoor pools is $1 or free when you bring one canned food item per person.

Park Day Reunion, August 2:Splash and Sizzle at Silver Springs pool, 1-6:30 p.m.
National Night Out, August 5:Splash and Sizzle at Meador, 5-7 p.m.
Starting August 11, only Fassnight will be open. Fassnight will only be open on weekends.

Adults are invited to attend Exploring Genealogy at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20, in the Library Center Story Hour Room, 4653 S. Campbell Ave.

Learn how to access the society's archives, including manuscripts, newspapers, photographs, art and editorial cartoons, and get tips for finding the best materials for your project.
