Branson Airport (BKG) is announcing the continuation of nonstop, low fare service to Houston through Elite Airways, and possibly more city pairings from the service next spring.

One way tickets can be purchased to both Chicago’s Midway and Houston’s Hobby airports starting at $99.00 each way including taxes.  The seasonal Chicago service runs through January 4th, 2015. The new flight schedule for Houston has been extended to run during the off season now through April 15th, 2015. The initial schedule for both airports began this fall.

Elite’s Chief Executive Officer John Pearsall says due to strong performance and customer response, the Houston service will continue year round, and the Chicago service will return in April, when the tourist season begins to pick up again. April will also bring “more frequency and city pairings,” according to Pearsall.

“Other major carriers that have served the Branson market have done well there.  With these airlines departing the market, we see a terrific opportunity for our airline,” said Pearsall.

He adds that originally Elite was not planning to operate in Branson during the off season, but based on passenger response this fall in Houston the company decided to continue the service year round.

According to its website, Elite flies Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft with seating for 50 passengers.
