You can learn more about future electric line construction planned for the western portion of the City Utilities service territory during a meeting tonight (11/17).

The project, expected to start in 2020, will consist of about 13 miles of 160,000 volt electric line connecting the John Twitty Energy Center to the Partnership Industrial Center West.  It includes the construction of an additional electric substation along the corridor.

CU will have to purchase property to establish the right-of-way corridor for the project.  Property owners in the area have been contacted.

The meeting will be held tonight from 5:30 to 7:30 at the Brookline Fire Station at 3245 E. Sawyer Rd.  Representatives from CU management and engineering staff will be on hand to answer questions and get input from the public.
