Springfield-Greene County Park Board

The 27th annual Bark in the Park dog festival will be held tomorrow (6/18) from 8 am to noon at Nathanael Greene-Close Memorial Park, 2400 S. Scenic.  Events include a guided dog walk, a doggie yoga demonstration, a camping with your dog demonstration, a talent show for dogs and their families and other activities.  For more information click here.  KSMU's Michele Skalicky talks with Jenny Fillmer Edwards, spokesperson for the Springfield-Greene County Park Board, about the event.

The Old Time Music, Ozark Heritage Festival is today and tomorrow (6/17-6/18) in West Plains featuring live music, artists and traditional craft demonstrations.  To learn more, www.oldtimemusic.org

The Avenue Theatre in West Plains presents Oklahoma tonight and tomorrow night (6/17-6/18) at 7.  Tickets are $8 at the door.

Springfield Relay for Life’s Festival of Hope starts at 2 tomorrow (6/18) with team camp set up.  The opening ceremony starts at 4.  That’s also when the Kid’s Zone, Silent Auction and Vendor Village open.  For more information, click here.

Families are invited to the program, Exercise Your Mind and Explore Your Senses, this morning (6/17) from 9 to noon at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center.  The Springfield-Greene County Library is a co-sponsor of the program, which will feature stories, crafts, both indoor and outdoor activities and more.  No registration is required.  Drop by anytime and plan to spend an hour.

Monster Truck
