Springfield's Outdoor Pools to Open this Weekend

Springfield-Greene County Park Board

It will officially feel like summer vacation for many kids this weekend.  The Springfield-Greene County Park Board’s outdoor pools will open for the season Saturday (5/28).

Throughout the season, each of the six outdoor pools in the city will be open six days a week from 1 to 6:30 pm through Sunday, August 14th.  Maintenance days are staggered Monday through Wednesday, and all outdoor pools are open Thursday through Sunday.  Find a schedule and admission information here.

Meador Pool, which was closed most of last season due to a major leak, will reopen for the full season this weekend.  And Fassnight Pool has been repainted, a project that took 225 gallons of paint and about 240 man hours.

Splash & Sizzle events return to select pools on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day, plus Friday and Saturday evenings in July, with all-day $1 admission, or free with a canned food item.  That same admission price is available daily from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.

In 2015, Splash & Sizzle and after 5:30 admissions generated nearly five tons of canned food items for Ozarks Food Harvest.
