  • MSU-West Plains’ 19thannual Auction starts tonight (4/5) at 6 at Café 37.  The theme is 1960s rock ‘n roll.  Tickets are $35.  For details, 255-7249. 
  • The Park Central Branch Library will host the Big Read Iron Chef Cook-Off tonight (4/5) at 6.  Watch students from Victory Trade School as they compete.  The Edible Books Festival will start at 7.  Vote on cakes fashioned after the themes from “Great Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe” and then eat cake.

  • In honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day, First Unitarian Universalist Church invites you to the Springfield premiere of “Two Who Dared” Sunday afternoon (4/7) at 2 at 2434 E. Battlefield.  The documentary tells the story of two Americans who left their young family to go to Czechoslovakia to aid refugees fleeing from Hitler’s growing menace.  There will be refreshments and a short discussion following the premiere.  There’s no charge, but donations will be accepted.
