  • The Springfield Urban Agriculture Coalition will host “Cocktails and Wellies on the Lawn” tonight (8/24) at 7 at Historic Commercial Street Firehouse.  The event will feature hors d’oeuvres made with locally-grown produce, live entertainment and more.  To learn more,

  • International solo flautist Bettine Clemin will be featured in the “Flutes & Flutes” fundraiser tomorrow (8/25) for the Friends of the Garden’s Sensory Garden.  The event starts at 5 pm at Christ Episcopal Church, 601 E.   • Dickerson Park Zoo invites you to the annual Pancakes in the Park tomorrow morning (8/25) from 7 to 10 at the Bush Country Café.  The cost for breakfast is $5 for adults and teens and $4 for children three to 12.  Regular zoo admission will also be charged.  The zoo will celebrate Henry the Hippo’s 31stbirthday tomorrow by feeding him watermelons at 11:30 and noon, and zoo guests will also be treated to watermelon.  For more information, 833-1570.
