  • The Jordan Valley Innovation Center’s Five-Year Celebration is this morning (6/1) from 8:30 to 10:30.  Senator Roy Blunt and MSU and community representatives will speak at 9, and tours of the facility will be available after that.  For more information, www.missouristate.edu.
  • Tonight (6/1) is Hitchcock Night at the West Plains Public Library.  The film “Blackmail” will be shown at 6:30 complete with popcorn and soda.
  • A dance is held each Friday night at 7 at the West Plains Senior Center.  Admission is $4, and all ages are welcome.
  • Acoustic Jam on the Square starts at 7 each Friday night on the square in West Plains.  Take instruments and seating if you want to join in and chairs if you want to listen.
  • The Park Central Branch Library will take part in the First Friday Artwalk tonight (6/1) from 6 to 9 by showing artwork created by the youth of the GLO Community Center.  Barak Hill will perform indie and folk rock music.
  • The Rutledge-Wilson Community Farm Park will host Fun Family Fishing tonight (6/1).  Take part in a fishing contest and scavenger hunt, win prizes and relax by a bonfire.  Pre-registration is required.  To learn more, 837-5949.

  • The Polk County Bike Club will host the third annual Wildflower Ride on National Trails Day tomorrow (6/2).  The ride starts at 8 am at the Bolivar Trailhead of the Frisco Highline Trail at Bolivar Middle School, 604 W.
