  • Women with a personal story about how heart disease has affected them are invited to take part in a national casting call in Springfield in search of new faces for the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign. It will take place today (2/11) from 10 am to 4 pm at the Battlefield Mall near the entrance to Macy’s. Even if you don’t wish to attend the casting call, there will be healthy cooking demonstrations and prize drawings offered by St. John’s. For more information, 881-1121.
  • The Springfield Conservation Nature Center invites you to listen to Jamin Bray perform “Missouri Melodies—songs of Missouri’s Outdoor Treasures” tonight (2/11) at 7.   • A soup supper to benefit the Christian County Homeless Alliance will be held tonight (2/11) from 5 to 7 at the First Baptist Church of Ozark, 1400 W. Jackson in Ozark. The cost is $5 per person, and children under five get in free.
