The 66th edition of the Missouri Official Manual, or Blue Book was released today. KSMU's Emily Nash tells us what's in this edition of the Blue Book.

Nicknamed the Blue Book for the color of its cover, the Missouri Official Manual can tell you just about anything you need to know about state government.

Secretary of State Robin Carnahan says the Blue Book contains contact information for every state legislator, judge, and county official in Missouri.

Even though the manual has been printed every two years since 1889, Carnahan says this edition of the Blue Book has some unique features.

One essay in the book is about Missouri's immigrant past.

This year's Blue Book also features a dedication to Missouri's scientific innovators.

Carnahan says the book contains a special scrapbook of photographs taken all over the state.

The Blue Book can be viewed on-line at the Secretary of State's web site, or you can get your own hard copy by contacting Secretary Carnahan's office at 573-751-4128.
