The Branson Veteran's Task Force recently announced the schedule of events for its thirteenth annual Veteran's Homecoming Week during a press conference that featured some inspirational guests. KSMU's Greg Leuthen has more on the special guests as well as this year's new activities for Veteran's Homecoming Week.

The theme for veteran's homecoming week is "Branson doesn't forget the wounded." To represent the theme, the Task Force flew in some wounded veterans for a special appearance. Marlyce Stockinger, chairperson for the event, talks about three of the veterans and describes the scene as they appeared.

Stockinger says that most of the traditional events will be held again this year like the Gold Star and Blue Star Mothers and Wives luncheon.

A World War II reenactment along with a performance by the US Navy Drill Team are among this year's new events. Veteran's Homecoming Week begins on Sunday, November 4th, with a church service at Mansion American Theater starting at 10 hundred hours and commences on Sunday, November 11th, Veteran's Day. More information on times, dates, and other Veteran's Homecoming week events is available at ksmu.org.
