  1. MSU-West Plains will co-host a Career and Job Fair today (9/30) from 9 to 2:30 in the new Student Recreation Center FEMA building in West Plains.  To learn more, 255-7230.
  2. A Banned Books Readout is today (9/30) at four Springfield-Greene County Library branches.  Community leaders will read from the decade’s top 30 banned/challenged books at four library locations:  at 10 am at the Republic Branch, at noon at the Library Station with author Sarah Ochler, at 2 pm at the Brentwood Branch and from 4 to 6 at the Library Center.  The last reading will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Ochler, community leaders, librarians and educators.
  3. Acoustic Jam on the Square is tonight (9/30) at 7 in front of West Plains Music on the West Plains square.  Take lawn chairs.
  4. The Missouri State Wind Ensemble will present a concert tonight (9/30) at 7:30 at the Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.  Admission is free.
  5. The Missouri State women’s soccer team will host Illinois State tonight (9/30) at 7 at Plaster Sports Complex.
  6. The MSU Biology Department will host a lecture on the endangered American burying beetle this afternoon (9/30) at 4 in Temple Hall Room 1.
