SoundCheck: Setting a new challenge for himself, Seth Darby moves to Nashville

Seth Darby will be on Studio Live Friday, March 8, 2024 from noon to 1, followed by Studio Live Social Hour at Mother's Brewing Company from 6-8 pm that night.

A couple of weeks ago, musician Seth Darby moved to Nashville on a whim. Here in a phone conversation, he speaks with KSMU's Jess Balisle about why he made the move and what he hopes to find there.

Jessica Gray Balisle, a Springfield native, grew up listening to KSMU. When she's not wrangling operations and compliance issues, she co-hosts live music show Studio Live and produces arts and culture stories. Jessica plays bass in local band the Hook Knives. She and her husband Todd live with their two cats, Ellie and Jean-Ralphio, and way too many house plants.
