Jackie King was just a schoolgirl in the United Kingdom when World War II began. Living in London, she survived the bombing of her city by the Germans for six years. After the war, she moved to the United States.

King shared her memories of the war with her daughter, Jennifer King, as part of the StoryCorps Mobile Tour to the Ozarks.
