The program, “Garden Nights Out: Salsa Canning,” will be held Friday night (9/13) at 7 at the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center, 2400 S. Scenic in Springfield.  Learn the basics of cold pack canning.  Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.  The cost is $30 per person or $45 for a couple. 

CASAblanca, a fundraiser for CASA of Southwest Missouri, is Friday night (9/13) from 5:30 to 11 at The Old Glass Place, 521 E. St. Louis in Springfield. 

Alt at the Audcontinues Friday night (9/13) at 8 with Chasing Pictures and Modeling at The Auditorium in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.  Tickets are $10. 

The Seymour Apple Festival continues Friday and Saturday (9/13-9/14) in downtown Seymour.  It features crafts, vendors, food, live music, a 5K, a parade and more. 

The Shakin in the Shell Festis Friday (9/13) from 5 to 10 p.m. and Saturday (9/14) from 10 am. to 8 p.m. in Shell Knob.  It will feature live music, a beer/wine garden, food, a car show, tethered hot air balloon rides and more. 

Conway Community Days is Friday and Saturday (9/13-9/14) with a chicken dinner, car show, games, rides, a parade and more. 

The PBR: PFI Western Invitationalwill be at JQH Arena Friday, Saturday and Sunday (9/13-9/15).

Springfield Little Theatre presents “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” through September 29 at the Landers Theatre. 

Springfield Contemporary Theatre presents “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” through September 22 at the theatre, 302 E. Pershing in Springfield. 

Mactoberfest at Macadoodles, to benefit Harmony House, will be held Friday night (9/14) from 6 to 9 at 3080 N. Kentwood in Springfield.  The event will feature beer tastings from more than 20 vendors. 

The MSU Fall Invitational volleyball tournament continues Friday and Saturday (9/13-9/14) at Hammons Student Center.  MSU will take on SMU Friday night at 5, Dayton Saturday at 12:30 and Weber State Saturday night at 7:30. 

The Missouri State University softball team will host Fort Scott Community College Friday night (9/13) and Jefferson College Saturday afternoon at 1. An alumnae game will start at 3 Saturday.  Games are played at Killian Stadium.  Learn more here

Springfield Catholic Charities will host the Birthday Dinner for Life Friday night (9/13) at 6 at 2431 N. Glenstone in Springfield.  Proceeds benefit LifeHouse Crisis Maternity Home. 

SGF CultureFest is Saturday (9/14) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 321 E. Commercial St. in Springfield with food, booths and entertainment. 

The Springfield RV Mega Show is Friday through Sunday (9/13-9/15) at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.  

The Missouri State University men’s soccer team will host Tulsa Saturday night (9/14) at 7 at Allison Stadium South.   Learn more here

Missouri Accessible Outdoors-Adaptive Shooting will be held Saturday morning (9/14) at 8:30, and Adaptive Fishing will start at 1 at the Missouri Department of Conservation Andy Dalton Shooting Range in Ash Grove. Registration is required.  Find details here

Moxie Mornings will be held Saturday morning (9/14) at 10 at the Moxie Cinema for kids two to six-years-old.  The free event includes an art project and an innovative short film. 

Bennett Spring State Park in Lebanon is hosting a contest to see who can bring in the biggest paw paw fruit.  Paw paws will be weighed Saturday and Sunday (9/14-9/15) and September 17-21 at the Bennett Spring Nature Center. 

The 18th Annual Svitak Freedom Ride, a bicycle ride with different length options, will be held Saturday (9/14) from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Fred G. Hughes Stadium in Joplin.  

Farmers Market of the Ozarks will host a Pawpaw Party Saturday morning (9/14) from 8 to 11 at Farmers Park, 2144 E. Republic Rd. in Springfield.  Hear a discussion about the fruit and try some. 

The West Central Community Garden needs volunteers Saturday (9/14) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to work on the garden, including building raised beds and planting fall crops.  Learn more here

Prairie Day at George Washington Carver National Monument in Diamond is Saturday (9/14) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with basket weaving, Dutch oven cooking, candle making, storytelling, live music and more. 

Nathan Boone Homestead State Historic Site will host the Fall Rendezvous and Luminary Tour Saturday (9/14) from 10 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.  Activities will include living history displays and demonstrations, mystery tours, a story about the 1937 Ash Grove tornado, stories of Lewis and Clark and a lanterns and luminaries tour. 

The Springfield Boys & Girls Club will host the 2019 Day for Kids Saturday (9/14) from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a breakfast, walk, giveaways, inflatables, games and more.  It will take place at the Stalnaker Unit, 1410 N. Fremont in Springfield. 

Brew at the Zoo II is Saturday night (9/14) from 6 to 9 at Dickerson Park Zoo with beer tastings, street taco, animal presentations and music. 

James River Basin Partnership will host the 14th Annual Sunset Soiree fundraiser Saturday night (9/14) from 6 to 9 at the Finley River Bridge in Ozark. 

The 3rd Annual Blues, Brews and Barbecue Music Festival will be held Saturday (9/14) at 5 p.m. at Branson Landing.  Proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks. 

Storytime Saturdays continue through October 26 at 11 a.m. at Bennett Spring State Park in Lebanon.

Tours of Giboney Cave at Doling Park in Springfield will be offered Saturday (9/14) at 1, 2 and 3.  A tunnel tour will also be held at 3.  The cost for the walking tour is $5 per person or $16 for a family of four.  The cost for the tunnel tour is $7 per person or $24 for a family of four.  Registration is required. 

The State of the Ozarks Festival will be held Saturday (9/14) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in downtown Hollister with vendors, artists, crafts, a lecture series on the Ozarks, a kids’ area and more. 

The 2019 Me Too Springfield Rally is Saturday (9/14) from 4 to 7 on Park Central Square. 

Ozark’s Citywide Garage Sale is Saturday (9/14) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.at various locations in the city. 

A Volunteer Informational Meeting and Open House will be held at the Victim Center, 819 N. Boonville in Springfield, Saturday (9/14) from 3 to 5.  Stop by anytime. 

H.O.P.E., Inc. will host an event for anyone who’s homeless Saturday (9/14) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Silver Springs Park in Springfield with free haircuts, food, clothing, music and more.  Find out more here

The DadBod Car Wash and Auction to benefit Immigrant Families Together will be held Saturday (9/14) from noon to 3 at Mother’s Brewing Company in Springfield. 

Reptile Day at the Fairbanks is Saturday (9/14) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1126 N. Broadway in Springfield.  Learn about reptiles and amphibians and see them up close. 

Huntington's Disease Society of America will host the Springfield, MO Team Hope Walk at JR Martin Park in Republic Saturday (9/14) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration will start at 10. 

A fundraiser for the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri, Lucky Paws Gala 2019, will be held Saturday night (9/14) at the White River Conference Center, 600 W. Sunshine in Springfield.  The event will include dogs, a gourmet dinner and a silent auction. 

A Zumbathon to benefit homeless veterans will be held Saturday night (9/14) from 5:30 to 7:30 to Genesis Health Clubs, 1249 E. Battlefield in Springfield.  The cost to participate is $10, and all proceeds will go to the Home at Last program at The Kitchen Inc. 

Nailed It!is Saturday (9/14) at 3 p.m. at Retaliation Aesthetics, 1345 E. Sunshine in Springfield, will benefit the GLO Center.  For $5, you’ll get directions and materials for an above average craft project.  Prizes will be awarded. 

The Rogersville Fall Bazaarwill be held Saturday (9/14) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Rogersville Community Park, 270 County Line Rd. 

The 50 Years of Led Zeppelin Concert, presented by local musicians, will be held Saturday night (9/14) at 7 at the Lyric Theater in Harrison, Arkansas.

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board’s Outdoor Initiatives will share information about bats Saturday (9/14) at Sequiota Park, and you’ll be able to watch bats fly out of the cave.  Arrive 30 minutes before It gets dark.  Find out more here
