A local Disaster Recovery Center will open later this week in Rogersville. The Federal Emergency Management Agency along with the Small Business Administration and other groups are opening the center to help residents in Greene County who were impacted by storms between April 29 and July 5.
At the center, at the Rogersville Church of Christ Fellowship Hall, 1103 W. Center, storm survivors will be able to get information about FEMA and other disaster assistance programs and ask questions about storm damage and recovery. They’ll also get help applying for federal disaster assistance.
The center will be open Friday (8/9) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday (8/10) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Monday (8/12) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Residents who were impacted by the storms can also register online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 800-621-3362 or TTY 800-462-7585. If you use 711 or Video Relay Service, call 800-621-3362. Operators are multilingual, and calls are answered seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. CDT.
Greene County OEM director, Larry Woods, said the goal of the center is “to help connect people with available resources to recover and rebuild.”
