Public Warned Of Potential COVID-19 Exposures In Southwest Missouri

There’s been another potential exposure to COVID-19 in Greene County.

According to the Springfield-Greene County Health Department, a person with the illness who had not been diagnosed went to the Walmart Supercenter in Republic Sunday, June 7, around 2 p.m. and to Lowe’s in Republic the same day around 3 p.m.  They were infectious and symptomatic and were not wearing a face covering.

Anyone at those locations at those times should monitor for symptoms and contact a health provider if any develop.

The Taney County Health Department has confirmed the 14th case of COVID-19 in that county. The case  is considered community spread at this time, according to TCHD. 

Prior to being diagnosed, the most recent case visited the following businesses:

  • Friday, June 5:  Carpet Plus in Hollister between 4:00 pm- 4:15 pm (unmasked)
  • Saturday, June 6:  Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Drama Dinner and Show between 6:00 pm- 10:30 pm (unmasked)  
  • Saturday, June 6:  Shepherd of the Hills Shop, Spoon Attics, for 5-10 minutes 
  • Saturday, June 6:  Rode the tram between 8:00 and 8:30 pm and again around 10:30 pm
  • Saturday, June 6:  Andy’s Frozen Custard walk up window between 11:15-11:30 pm (unmasked)
  • Sunday, June 7:  Home Depot between 2:45- 3:00 pm (unmasked)
  • Sunday, June 7:  Target between 3:00-3:15 pm (masked)
  • Sunday, June 7:  Subway at Walmart on Branson Hills Parkway between 3:30- 4:15 (masked)
  • Monday June 8:  Lakeland Pharmacy on Branson Hills Parkway between 2:00-2:15 pm (masked)

Individuals who visited these locations on these dates should monitor for symptoms, according to TCHD. There is no need to self-quarantine or isolate unless symptoms develop. If you do begin to experience symptoms, please contact your healthcare provider.
