Inpatients Are Back At Mercy Cassville After Fire In February

Mercy Hospital Cassville is caring for inpatients again after a fire in late February that forced parts of the facility to be closed.

The hospital’s operating room and one inpatient room remain closed for more repairs, but eight inpatient rooms were able to be reopened.

The fire February 22 began in a rooftop HVAC unit.  No one was hurt, but the hospital shut down temporarily for repairs.  Mercy resumed its emergency room services in Cassville later that week and reopened an adjacent clinic the following week.

Currently, all services except for surgery are available in Cassville.
