Two college women’s basketball teams in Springfield are seeing success in post season play.

The Drury Lady Panthers are headed to the NCAA Division II championship game after a win over Lander Wednesday.

Drury will play number one-ranked Lubbock Christian Friday night, March 26, at 7 central time on CBS Sports Network.

The Missouri State University Lady Bears are advancing to the NCAA Division I Tournament Sweet Sixteen.  The fifth-seeded team beat 13th-seeded Wright State Wednesday 64-39.

The Lady Bears’ current 19-game win streak is the longest in MSU history.  The 1991-92 team had a 21-game winning streak they carried into the Final Four.  The Bears are tied with Baylor for the longest active Division 1 streak among teams participating in the 2020-2021 season.

Missouri State will face Stanford, the tournament’s overall seed in the Alamo Region semifinal at 2 p.m. Sunday on ABC.  The rest of the tournament games will be played in the Alamodome, and a limited number of tickets are available to the public at NCAATickets.com.
