Deadline Is Wednesday For Greene County Voters To Request Absentee Ballots For June Election

Michele Skalicky

If you’ll need to vote absentee in the June 2 Greene County Election, you’ll need to request an absentee ballot Wednesday, May 20.

The General Municipal Election was postponed from April 7 to June 2 due to the coronavirus.

Homebound of out-of-town voters may request an absentee ballot by mail, either handwritten or from a fillable form at greenecountymo.gov.  The requests must be signed by voters and received at the Greene County Clerk’s Office no later than 5 p.m. on May 20.

Mailed ballots must be voted, notarized, returned by mail and received in the county clerk’s office no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day.

In-person absentee voting is taking place now.  Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through June 1 at the county clerk’s office, 940 N. Boonville.  Absentee voting will also be available Saturday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1126 N. Boonville.

The June 2 ballot includes races and issues in 10 cities in Greene County.  You can view a sample ballot here.
