Former Branson Mayor Dies

City of Branson

Former Branson Mayor Stanley Ball was 97 when he died on Friday.  He served on the Branson Board of Aldermen for 13 years, including four as mayor in the 1970s.

He lived his later years in Springfield, but current mayor, Raeanne Presley, says he was always up to date on what was happening in Branson.

Ball grew up in Nixa and graduated from Nixa High School in 1935.

Services are planned for Friday afternoon at 2 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
