Missouri's delegates to the Republican National Convention are in St. Paul, Minnesota this week. KSMU's Missy Shelton spoke by phone to a Missouri delegate from Willard and files this report.
We caught up with delegate Darrell Proctor this afternoon as he was on his way to a reception in downtown St. Paul. This is the second time Proctor has served as a delegate to the national convention. He says as usual, the delegates are keeping a busy schedule.
Proctor says he also enjoyed hearing speeches Monday from First Lady Laura Bush and First Lady-hopeful Cindy McCain. Proctor and the other Missouri delegates started off today with a breakfast meeting where they heard from three elected officials from Missouri.
Proctor says he's looking forward to this evening's program which includes a speech from former U.S. Senator Fred Thompson.
