Mercy has announced it will increase the starting wage for all of its employees. According to Mercy officials, the healthcare system will raise the pay of more than 6,000 workers to $15 an hour and raise starting pay to that amount as well.
Mercy said it will also continue to review employee pay across all communities and job descriptions “and adjust accordingly.”
The new minimum wage will be implemented across Mercy on September 19th.
