Help on the Way for Fire Victims in California from Springfield-Based Organization

Convoy of Hope

Wildfires continue to rage in northern California.  The Carr Fire near Redding was about 23 percent contained as of Monday night.  At least six people have been killed.

In response to those fires, Convoy of Hope is sending two tractor trailers of emergency supplies and a Disaster Services team to Redding.  They're expected to arrive by the middle of this week.

The organization, based in Springfield, says it will be working with local churches and partners to set up multiple distribution hubs in the coming days.
