Help KSMU "Find America" and Discover Ozarks History

KSMU, Ozarks Public Radio, is seeking a dedicated storyteller with broadcast experience to explore the unique history and culture of the Ozarks region.

By teaming with AIR Media through the Localore: Finding America project, KSMU seeks an “outside collaborator” that will to take our audience to the far corners of our region. If selected, this partnership will run for a period of between 6-9 months.

Based in Springfield, Missouri, with transmissions throughout southern Missouri and northern Arkansas, the KSMU service area offers a broad blend of people, places, and events. This project will allow us to shine a light on the individuals and organizations working to preserve the many historical elements of our region, while bringing to the surface the stories that have gone untold or are in danger or being lost altogether.

If you have a passion for storytelling, history, and broadcast experience, then join KSMU in helping us reveal our local history, as well as explore the less traveled to discover the untold.

See the full guidelines for becoming an “outside collaborator." The deadline for submissions is June 26. View our promotional video above to learn more or contact scott@ksmu.org.
