Southwest Center for Independent Living Helps Those With Disabilities

swcil.org

Shelby Butler, Access Coordinator for the Southwest Center for Independent Living, discusses the core services provided by this organization, which are advocacy, information and referral services, peer support and independent living skills.

People without disabilities might not be aware of barriers that can complicate life for someone who lives with a disability on a daily basis.  Butler describes some of the barriers to accessibility within our own community and what Springfield and Greene County are doing to improve accessibility for all individuals.
