Ozark Cancels Classes Following Threat

Ozarks Schools

Ozark Public Schools will not be in session today after a threat was made against the district.

According to district officials, a threatening social media post was made last night.  They say, though no specific threats were made, the district took the threats seriously and had them investigated by school resource officers, the Christian County Sheriff’s Department and the Ozark Police Department.

Law officers made contact with the author of the post.  According to the district, additional information was discovered throughout the night.  Officials say, “as this is a continuing investigation, we would like to err on the side of safety,” and the district is allowing law enforcement a chance to investigate all leads.
