2015 Hall of Fame Class for Springfield Public Schools Named

Two graduates of Glendale and one from Kickapoo High School make up Springfield Public Schools’ Hall of Fame Class of 2015.

The selection committee has chosen Steve Edwards, Susan Everett Provance and Dr. Anthony Hlavacek as this year’s inductees.

Edwards and Provance are both graduates of Glendale and currently work in Springfield. Edwards is the is the president and CEO of CoxHealth. Provance is the community recreation administrator for the Springfield-Greene County Park Board, and a retired coach for SPS.

Hlavaceck, a graduate of Kickapoo, works at the Medical University of South Carolina. There, he’s an associate professor of pediatrics and radiology medical director at the Pediatric Cardiology Inpatient Unit.

The Oct. 22 inductee luncheon will be held at Bass Pro White River Conference Center, 600 W. Sunshine Street, beginning at noon.  Tickets for the event will be on sale Oct. 1-12 by calling 523-0021 or ehiggins@spsmail.org.
