The Association of Fundraising Professionals Ozarks Region Chapter has awarded Ozarks Technical Community College’s Cliff Davis with the honor of the Outstanding Philanthropic Fundraising Professional of the Year. KSMU’s Samuel Crowe spoke with Davis and has this report.

Davis was presented the award Friday for helping bring in over $14 million dollars during OTC’s first-ever Major Gifts Capital Campaign – 4 million over the original goal. The vice chancellor and executive director of the OTC Foundation, Davis says the award was the direct result of the team effort put into raising the funds.

“While I’m honored to have received the award, it’s much, much more  than about me. It’s about our institution, it’s about our board of directors, it’s about our Board of Trustees,” Davis said.

AFP Ozarks sponsors the Philanthropy Day awards program in collaboration with Ozarks Health Advocacy Foundation.

For KSMU News, I’m Samuel Crowe.
