Take a break from the heat and help end hunger at Springfield-Greene County Park Board swimming pools this summer. From May 26 to September 1, between 5:30 and 6:30 pm daily, admission to all outdoor pools is $1 or free when you bring one canned food item per person.

The Shine Foundation will host its 7th annual Juneteenth Freedom Day Music Fest June 19 at Founders Park with live music, guest speakers, artists, foods, games and more.

This isn’t your typical swap meet: Swapapalooza a modern twist on the traditional garage sale, bringing together small businesses, local sellers, and community vendors all in one parking lot.

Lucas Oil Speedway and Ozarks Food Harvest will host a food drive on June 21 to help end hunger in the Ozarks. The evening will feature dirt track racing.

Bring four nonperishable food items for donation and get free admission to the races. These donations will support Ozarks Food Harvest and the children, families and seniors they serve.

Gates open at 4 pm. Hot laps start at 6:30 pm with racing to follow.
