Pencil in Hand; Investigating River Connections
Pencil in Hand; Investigating River Connections
Roaring River State Park will host "Pencil in Hand; Investigating River Connections," a nature journaling workshop, on Saturday, September 9 from 9am-4pm.
The full day course will guide beginners and avid nature journalists at their own pace while exploring the importance of water resources (like Roaring River) here in the Ozarks ecosystem.
Start with the basics of observation skills and explore a variety of ways to utilize the simple equipment needed for field sketching and journaling. The class will be in classroom and outside journaling in a variety of areas around the park.
Space is limited, and a confirmation letter will be sent prior to the class. Instructors Anna Skalicky, Naturalist at Roaring River State Park and Jeff Cantrell, Conservation Educator will share ideas and motivation for this life-long hobby.
