Dog Swim Set for Early September in Springfield

The “dog days of summer” are over, but don’t tell that to the dogs.  They’ll soon have their day to enjoy summer as they take over a local public swimming pool.  Dog Swim XII (12) is set for September 8th from 4 to 7 pm at Fassnight Pool, 1300 S. Campbell.

The pool is open only to dogs that day—no humans are allowed.  Registration is $8 for one day and one owner with only one dog allowed per owner.  Additional humans are $3, and proceeds benefit Cruse Dog Park, Springfield’s first off-leash dog park.

Pre-registration is required by September 1st at 5 pm.  Proof of vaccination for parvo, distemper, bordetella and rabies is required.  You can find a link to a printable registration form at ksmu.org.
