Results of the 2007 Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study released by Hospitals and Health Networks Magazine are in. And Branson's Skaggs Community Health Center is in the top 25 "Most Wireless Hospitals" and the top 25 "Most Wired Small and Rural Hospitals." KSMU's Joe Morgan reports.

Skaggs earned the top 25 Most Wired Award this year for the fifth year in a row but it's the first time it's been named the top 25 Most Wireless. Vice President of Support Services and Chief Information Officer for Skaggs Community Health Center Crystal Stallings says being named to both lists is an honor. She explains the difference in the two lists.

Stallings says there are tons of benefits to having such wireless capabilities in a hospital but one advantage stands out more than the rest.

Stallings says that a lot of work went into equipping Skaggs with the wireless technology. She says that it was a total team effort to better care for patients.

One other hospital in southwest Missouri made the "Most Wired" list, Citizens Memorial Healthcare in Bolivar. Stallings says people in southwest Missouri are fortunate to have such high quality technological health care.

Stallings says that health care has changed drastically over the past few years and that it will continue to change with the developing technology. For KSMU News, I'm Joe Morgan.
