MSU’s Springfield campus opened today for the fall semester with 19,415 students, a 3.1 percent increase over last year.

Enrollment at Missouri State-West Plains is up 1.3 percent from last year.  The College of Business Administration on the Springfield campus saw a significant increase in enrollment as well.  There are 4,793 students enrolled—an increase of 6.4 percent over last year.

And enrollment in the College of Health and Human Services is up by 6.3 percent.

Official census is taken on the 20th day of classes, and official enrollment reports won’t be available until September 18th.

Official system enrollment has increased 15 of 17 years from 1995 to 2012.

MSU remains the second largest university in the state.
