The teams are here for the Premier Baseball Senior Championship to be held at area facilities including Evangel, SBU, Willard High School, Marshfield High School, Meador Park and Springfield Catholic.
Five local teams are competing in the event, including three Midwest National Teams and the Willard Tigers. Opening ceremonies, including a parade of teams, will start at 6 tonight (6/9) at Hammons Field.
Premier Baseball is an alliance of 25 amateur baseball organizations across the US and Canada. Players typically are between 15 and 18-years-old.
This is the fourth Premier Baseball Championship that Springfield has hosted.
Tournament passes are $25 each or single, daily admission tickets are $6.
