A big season opener is planned tomorrow (4/27) for the C-Street Market, which organizers call "the sweetest little market in town," according to Mary Collette with the Commercial Club of Springfield. She says the market is more than a farmer's market--it's more like a European-style market...
"It's not strictly produce and plants. There are also baked goods, and we have a lot of handcrafted items. We actually have lotions and jewelry and birdhouses and, of course, you know the cut flowers and fresh flowers and all the normal things you expect, but I think you'll find some things you wouldn't expect to find at some of the other markets," she said.
The C-Street Market's 13th annual Season Opener is tomorrow (4/27) from 7:30 am to 2 pm and will feature a vintage car show, live music, kids' activities and more.
