Thanks to three major gifts, the Missouri State University’s “Our Promise” campaign is much closer to its $125 million goal.
“And with those three gifts it’s my pleasure to announce that we have now topped the $100 million milestone for the Missouri State University Campaign.”That’s Missouri State University President Michael Nietzel at a press conference Tuesday announcing the donations. The gifts include: a gift from William and Virginia Darr, an estate gift from the late Dr. Bernice Warren, and a gift commitment to support the new University Recreation Center. In recognition of the gifts, the university will name academic units for the donors for the first time in school history.Missouri State University’s “Our Promise” campaign is a comprehensive campaign that began in August of 2009.
