Food pantries and charity organizations still need donations after the holidays. This Sunday in Springfield, The Kitchen is hosting an event that can raise over 42 thousand dollars. All you have to do, is bowl. KSMU's Emily Nash has more.
For this fundraiser, strikes pay off.
Every pin knocked down brings money to The Kitchen.
The Kitchen's annual Bowl-A-Thon for Charity is this Sunday from 1 to 4.
Dean Arens is the co-chairman of the bowl-a-thon.
Already over 300 bowlers have signed up for the event.
Teams not yet signed up can register Sunday at noon at Battlefield Lanes.
Arens says teams from all over the Ozarks roll into town for the bowl a thon.
Teams will bowl three games.
And Arens says when the day is over The Kitchen will get some much needed money.
You can also help The Kitchen by dropping off spare cans of food at either of the sites Enterprise Lanes or Battle field Lanes.
