3rd Provost Finalist Visits Missouri State
The third of four finalists for the position of Provost at Missouri State University is visiting the campus this week, meeting with administrators, faculty, staff, and students. KSMU's Mike Smith has the story:
Belinda R. McCarthy, Dean of the College of Health and Public Affairs at the University of Central Florida, arrived in Springfield Tuesday and will wrap up her visit today.
The process for hiring Missouri State's first full time Provost began in September with the appointment of a 14 member search committee which included Missouri State administrators, faculty, staff, students, and a member of the community.
Chris Craig, Associate Dean of the College of Education says the committee screened 40 applicants to select the four finalists who will each take part in on campus public question and answer forums at Plaster Student Union Theater. Hahs's public forum was held Thursday.
The fourth and last Provost finalist, Robert G. Frank of the University of Florida, will speak and answer questions at Plaster Theater at 4PM Monday February 27th.
Missouri State's first Provost will begin work July 1st.
For KSMU News, I'm Mike Smith.
