Busiek Shooting Range Closed Due to Flooding

Missouri Department of Conservation

The Busiek Area shooting range is closed again due to flooding.

The Missouri Department of Conservation closed the unstaffed range for the second time this summer due to flooding Friday morning.  The heavy rain damaged the bridge connecting the parking area to the range, scoured out areas of the parking lot and left debris strewn across the parking area and the range, according to MDC.

The hiking trails at Busiek are still open, but accessibility to parts of the some of the trails may have been affected by the rain.

In early July, flood damage from heavy rains closed the facility for a short period of time.
