Don’t forget to throw on some layers or at least grab a jacket before heading out the door this weekend.
Late Friday or early Saturday morning, temperatures are expected to drop drastically as we transition into more fall-like weather.
Meteorologist Mike Griffin says the 80 degree weather we’ve been enjoying is expected to drop to a high barely in the 60s over the weekend.
“We’re expecting a pretty good chance for showers and thunderstorms with that cold front and then temperatures are going to fall like a rock over the weekend.”
Although showers and thunderstorms are likely, Griffin says he’s not expecting any widespread severe weather --just a major cool down that will move in and out pretty rapidly.
