Joe Biden Expected To Nominate Robin Carnahan For Head Of Federal GSA

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — President Joe Biden says he plans to nominate former Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan to administrator of the federal General Services Administration. The White House on Tuesday announced Carnahan's nomination. Carnahan served as Missouri secretary of state from 2005 to 2012. The Democrat previously led a tech consulting office in the General Services Administration called 18F. Her appointment is subject to U.S. Senate confirmation.

U.S. Senator Roy Blunt released a statement Tuesday and said, “Robin Carnahan is smart, capable, and understands what they do at GSA. I look forward to supporting her nomination.”
