Members elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in November met to discuss the rules of the legislative process just weeks before session is set to begin.  Michael Lindquist reports from Jefferson City.

The new state representatives met at freshman orientation in the Capitol Thursday to learn more about their duties as a public official.

Democratic Representative Tracy McCreery of St. Louis County says shes already setting her priorities for what she would like to accomplish during the session.

"Well, I'm most excited to take a look at what legislation will be hitting the floor, there are several priorities that I hope get going very quickly including a focus on the school transfer situation and also some of the different legislations that's arisen as a result of Ferguson," she said.

The General Assembly will meet January seventh to begin the legislative session.
