Time Running Out to Register to Vote in November Election

If you plan to vote in the November 2nd election but haven’t yet registered to vote, time is running out. The voter registration deadline is Wednesday, and applications must be postmarked by that day.Missouri residents can register to vote in person at their local election offices—in Greene County, that’s at the County Clerk’s office in the historic Greene County Courthouse.You can also register at schools, libraries, colleges and universities and at city hall.Voter registration forms can also be downloaded at www.govotemissouri.com and mailed to local election authorities.According to the Missouri Secretary of State’s office, U.S. Census Bureau figures estimate more than 5 million voters nationwide did not cast ballots in November 2006 because they missed their states’ registration deadline.
