US Senator Claire McCaskill is leading the first Senate Congressional Delegation trip to Iraq with the primary purpose of closely examining defense department contracting. The Missouri Democrat spoke with reporters this morning by phone from Kuwait. McCaskill's calling for oversight hearings to examine expenditures and contracts.
McCaskill says she had the chance to meet with Missouri troops during her visit.
McCaskill serves on the Senate Armed Services Committee and says she'll be sharing the information she gathered during her trip with her Senate colleagues.
